City's first signing in January?

It looks like we might finally be seeing the back of the deluded egotist that is Caros Tevez in January.

Perhaps the only tears shed will be shed by the owners of the two restaurants found in the North West.

I doubt though if there will be any City fans who are upset by his move away from City, and I would imagine that most of the squad will be glad to see him gone too.

The talk from Kia is of AC Milan but City are remaining tight lipped over any bids or indeed any interest in the home-sick Argie’.

But there is considerable interest from City in another South American and it might just be that the answer to the Tevez conundrum is found in a player swap plus cash deal which takes Tevez to Santos and brings Ganso to The Etihad.

Ganso is a hugely talented midfield player in the mould of Zidane. He is left footed and described variously as elegant and masterful.

City have in fact had an eye on Ganso for some time but any deal was delayed by a knee injury that robbed him of nearly a year, but that is behind him now and so CIty might not have a better time to make a move.

City were originally looking at a cash bid and that may still be the case but perhaps the self-destructive behaviour of Tevez might mean City could get around a number of issues by giving Tevez a route back to South America whilst snatching one of the very best midfield talents yet to play in Europe.

Ganso could arrive at the very moment that Yaya Toure departs for the African Cup of Nations thus providing Mancini with a further option in what could be a pivotal month in the race to the Premier League title.

(At 22 he is also young enough to have some serious resale value if things dont work out at City)

I have invested a modest sum in Ganso being a City player in January, I expect City will do the same.
